October Week 3

We have been keeping pretty busy. This week we did alot of things:

Ellie did about 25 workbook pages from her Brain Quest 1st grade book.

She did spelling worksheets every day and got 100% on her quiz on Friday. She LOVES spelling, she wants to learn to spell and she does great at it! I changed her spelling a bit from the past couple of weeks. She has 9 words each week. Monday she writes each word twice. Tuesday she cuts out the word and pastes them in alphabetical order. Wednesday she unscrambles the letters to make each word. Thursday she writes each word twice again. Friday she does a word search with all of the words and takes a quiz. She loves how it changes each day and how there are fun activities added in.

She read 4 books outloud. Read and finished Tigers at Twilight, Magic Tree House book to Ellie. She reads some passages in these books to me while we read.

Singapore Math - Lessons 17 through 22.

Language Lessons 6 through 9

About an hour spent on the computer playing learning games.

Ballet on Monday

Gymnastics on Wednesday

Science class started zoology. This week they opened up owl pellets and found the bones of the animal the owl had eaten, Ellie's was a vole and talked about it.
